Ed Oechslie

Board Certified Art Therapist
Art Therapy Certified Supervisor
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Ed came to Networks, Inc. in April, 2014. He is a board certified art therapist, certified art therapy supervisor, and licensed clinical mental health counselor who has extensive experience in the trauma-sensitive treatment of mental illness, substance abuse and codependency. In his approach he uses art therapy and a gentle, client-centered focus to engage the resilience inherent in every person. He works with men and women whose goals are healing and self-empowerment, especially those adults who are overcoming childhood traumas and long-held patterns of coping skills that just don’t work anymore.

Ed came to be an art therapist and clinical counselor by way of the construction industry, and as a result has a strong interest in working with men looking to make changes in career and lifestyle that encourage compassion, purpose, and authentic living. For the past fifteen years he has worked in residential treatment and outpatient counseling, specializing in developmental and complex trauma and the symptoms of PTSD that show up as substance and behavioral addictions, depression and anxiety, and other mood disorders.

Ed has two grown daughters and four grandchildren, he is a painter and writer, and can often be found on the bike path or mountain trail wearing skates, skis, running shoes, or a bicycle.
