Megan Kiernan

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Please Note: Megan is not able to accept new clients at this time. We will update this notice when this status changes.

Megan joined Networks in 2015 and is passionate about using a holistic perspective in her work. As a dually licensed counselor and a certified personal trainer, she believes in giving all pieces of the mind, body, and spirit a place in the counseling room. True health comes from the intersection of these things and to address any one without considering the others does not create lasting change.

Megan is focused on the different ways that mental health issues and addiction can manifest themselves in a client’s life. Having worked with diverse age groups, Megan uses a developmental perspective to address the personal and social pressures of each age. By using a combination of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Existential Therapy, Megan helps people examine who they are and what they want, as well as identify and change the mental roadblocks that are interfering with their success. She also consistently uses Motivational Interviewing to help her clients better understand their own goals and move positively towards them.

Areas of specific interest and expertise include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, women’s issues, eating issues, anger management, relationship issues, and transitional life changes, e.g. job changes, entering or leaving college, marriage, cohabitation, and divorce.
